Issenye Secondary School
Issenye High School is a remote Church of England boarding school which sits on a plateau above the village of Issenye in North West Tanzania. It has views across the Serengeti and neighbouring mountains and is a special place. There are approximately 600 pupils, mixed boys and girls. We have helped the school in many ways since our Headteacher first visited in 2013. We raised money to build a huge rainwater tank, rebuild a dormitory, purchase books and buy bananas for the students, a real treat. Mrs Megson has been three times now and always arrives with the bananas hence her Swahili name is Mama Ndizi! The headteacher of Issenye is Mr Joseph Nyamgoncho.
